Who should attend From MySpace to Hip Hop: New Media in the Everyday Lives of Youth?
This conference is specifically designed to create a balanced conversation between parents, educators, researchers and Web 2.0 technology and media industry leaders. Anyone with an interest in child development, new media, and digital learning, will benefit from the information provided in the panel discussion.
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome, however, the topics and questions for the panel discussion are targeted for an audience of parents, educators and researchers. This might not be very interesting to children under 10 years old. Any child, especially tweens and teens that are familiar with digital media and can sit through a presentation are welcome to be accompanied by a responsible adult and must be pre-registered.

There is no charge for the event. The cost of the event is being underwritten by The MacArthur Foundation via a program grant to Common Sense Media.

Will I receive materials in the mail before the event?
We are not mailing out materials in advance of the conference. You will receive a confirmation email when you register. On the day of the event, please report to the check-in table outside the Hewlett Teaching Center, Building 200. Please bring a copy of your confirmation page to the event to confirm your reservation and complimentary parking.
What if I need to cancel?
