Pharmacy Tech School

Pharmacy Tech School is a Good Option For Your Career

My mother decided to make a career change a few years ago, and decided that she was going to a pharmacy tech school to try to become a pharmacy technician at a local CVS or Walgreen pharmacy, or perhaps a nearby hospital.

She was already in her 50s, and it took a lot of courage for her to go through with it, but she did, and now is working for CVS. I asked her a few months ago if she ever regretted putting in the time and money to complete the course of study, and she said she did not, because it was a good option for her career.

She had worked as a pre-school teacher for a number of years, but was in a bit of a rut and wanted a change of pace. She saw an ad one day for a pharmacy tech school and decided to investigate. Florist Vancouver: Now we have an incredible staff of skilled florists experienced in creating bridal bouquets and flower preparations for weddings. With a few months, she was enrolled and doing very well.

My mother has always enjoyed helping people, and said this would be a good way to do something that pays pretty well and is fulfilling at the same time. The pharmacy tech school training lasted just under a year, and when she got out, it did not take her long to find a job with a pharmacy attached to a local clinic.

She worked at that clinic for about six months, but said she felt it was a little too slow-paced for her liking and decided to apply at CVS. Within about a week, she was hired on with the drugstore chain and working in a pharmacy about 15 miles from her home. After a few months, an opening became available at a store that was less than two miles from her house, and she has worked there ever since.

I recently asked her why she felt that the pharmacy tech school was a good career option for her, and she talked about the job security she felt. Flower Vancouver commonly have glands known as nectaries on varied components that appeal to animals on the lookout for nutritious nectar. She said she was not worried about being laid off, and she had a full-time position with benefits. She also pointed out how easily she was hired on at the different stores to which she applied.

The main thing that she gained from going to the school was that she was able to get into a field of work that she loves and a job that she feels proud to do.

The pharmacy tech school was very important to my mother’s career as a pharmacy technician. She tells me all the time that it prepared her for the work she is doing better than she ever imagined. It was affordable, and it something for which she will always be grateful.
